A new clothing store has officially opened on Fore Street in the centre of Hexham, bringing a Weird Fish branch to the town’s former Specsavers premises.

The store officially opened on Saturday, September 5, in a ceremony led by Hexham mayor Derek Kennedy and town crier Helen Wearmouth.

Weird Fish began trading from the site on Thursday, August 20, before the formal opening ceremony took place.

The company describes itself as a retail lifestyle brand focused on fun, practicality, style and quality. The Hexham branch is its latest store.
