Oh La La is bringing two new wine and cheese tasting evenings to its Cattle Market restaurant in Hexham this autumn, giving local diners the chance to sample paired wines and artisanal cheeses in small groups.
The cheese-themed restaurant, which has received strong reviews on TripAdvisor and Google since opening in June, has announced that bookings are now open. Each evening will be limited to 18 covers.
Two tasting dates announced
The first event is the Autumn Wine and Cheese Night on October 14 at 6.30pm. Tickets cost £45 and include a glass of fizz, five wines and accompanying cheese pairings. The evening will be hosted by Monica from Richmond Wine Agencies.
A second event, the French Winemaker Special, will take place at 6.30pm on November 4. Tickets cost £29 and include four French wines paired with cheese. Guests will also be able to meet Clémence from Famille Fabre, a winemaking family described as having been producing wine since 1605.
Bookings open for limited places
Oh La La said on social media that the new evenings will offer “world-class wines, expert hosts, and perfectly paired artisanal cheeses”. The restaurant also described the events as “unique”.
Residents interested in attending either tasting will need to book in advance because of the restricted capacity. The two events are the first wine and cheese tasting experiences announced by the Hexham restaurant.
