Northumbria Police has launched an appeal for information after a 41-year-old man from Jarrow was reported missing and officers said he may have travelled towards the Hexham area.
Keith was last seen in the Tynemouth Road area of Jarrow shortly before noon on Wednesday, according to the police appeal. He was reportedly driving a grey BMW 1 Series at the time.
Police said officers and Keith’s family were becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare. A number of enquiries have been carried out, but officers are asking residents and anyone travelling in or around Hexham to share information that could help locate him.
What police have said
Northumbria Police described Keith as approximately 5ft 8in tall and of slim build. He has short brown and grey hair and black and grey tattoos on both arms, his hands and his back.
At the time he was last seen, he was believed to be wearing a grey and blue tracksuit top and bottoms with black trainers. Police said the clothing was shown in a CCTV image taken earlier on Wednesday.
“Officers are appealing for information to locate a missing South Tyneside man Keith, who is aged 41 and of Jarrow, was last seen in the Tynemouth Road area of Jarrow just before midday today.”
The force said it believed Keith may be in the Hexham area of Northumberland. The appeal does not state that he has been located in Hexham, and no specific location within the town has been provided.
