Hexham-born musician Pete Doherty has announced plans to return to the stage next month, telling fans he will be “back out there” as a series of European performances comes into view.
The update was shared on social media alongside promotional posters for upcoming shows. Doherty posted: “Back out there in October x”.
Babyshambles dates in Italy and France
Doherty is due to perform with Babyshambles in Italy, with concerts scheduled for Rome and Milan on October 7 and October 8 respectively. He is also scheduled to appear in France, with performances in Strasbourg, Nancy and Orléans between October 13 and October 15.
The musician will also be part of the New Fall Festival in Germany, which is listed as running from October 7 to October 11. Babyshambles are included in a line-up featuring Apparat and Greentea Peng.
A career-spanning setlist expected
Fans attending the shows can expect music from across Doherty’s career, including songs associated with The Libertines, Babyshambles and his solo work.
Doherty is best known as the co-frontman of The Libertines and frontman of Babyshambles. He became one of the most recognisable figures in Britain’s indie rock scene during the 2000s.
The announcement also comes ahead of a future Libertines appearance. The band is due to headline the Busan International Rock Festival in 2026, with its performance scheduled for October 4.
