People interested in joining Hexham Army Cadets or becoming adult instructors are being invited to an open evening at the detachment’s new base this week.
The event will take place on Thursday, October 8, from 7pm to 9pm at the 1st Hexham Scout Group’s hut on Maiden’s Walk.
New base follows Army Reserve Centre closure
The Hexham Detachment of Northumbria Army Cadets now parades at the Scout Group’s hut after the closure of the Army Reserve Centre on Hencotes.
The open evening is intended to recruit both new cadets and adult instructors. It offers prospective members an opportunity to find out more about the detachment at its new Hexham venue.
