A Northumberland Indian restaurant welcomed TV actor Denise Welch and members of the Forever Home cast and production team during filming in Hexham.

Welch visited Zyka in March while filming the new Channel 5 series, which was filmed in parts of Northumberland, including Hexham Market Place and Tyne Green. She later returned to the restaurant with fellow actor Amy Nuttall and the Forever Home party after filming had finished.

Visit to Zyka in Hexham

The restaurant team said it was delighted to welcome Welch for the first time in March. In a message shared at the time, Zyka said: It was a pleasure to welcome one of the North East's favourite actors, Denise Welch, to Zyka Hexham.

Welch described the restaurant as “fabulous”. Her visit came as she was in Newcastle with Strictly Come Dancing actor Lewis Cope and former Emmerdale actor Amy Nuttall for a premiere of Graham Norton's new Channel 5 series on September 4.

Filming locations and cast

Forever Home was filmed in Northumberland earlier this year. The production included locations in Hexham, with the market place and Tyne Green among the places featured.

Welch is known for roles in Coronation Street, Waterloo Road and Hollyoaks, as well as regular appearances as a panellist on ITV's Loose Women. Welch and Nuttall both stayed at The Beaumont Hotel during filming.
